About and Disclaimer
What this is
A personal companion site for Mahasati practice, compiled to share the practice freely. It collects introductory material and offers a timer and a check-in tool. No ads and no charge.
What this is not
- It is not an official website and does not speak for any meditation organisation or teacher.
- It is not teaching. To learn properly, join official events and ask a teacher.
- It is not medical advice and claims no cure or treatment effect. If you have a physical or mental health concern, consult a medical professional. Where the book answers questions about sleep or emotions, this site only repeats the answer.
Sources and rules
- The method follows Luangpor Thong's book on the principles and method of Mahasati (Religious Culture Press, 2013). It is paraphrased, with short citations by page. Page numbers come from a working summary and are to be verified against the book before launch.
- Yihuan Xingzhe's six-stage map is an advanced reference only, not the basis of the method. The paraphrased parts are authorisation pending and are not quoted verbatim until permission is given.
- No invented names, years, numbers or quotations; uncertain points are marked "to be verified".
- No reproduction of copyrighted manuals, talks or videos. Diagrams will be drawn originally, not scanned from the book.
- To report an error or ask for a correction, use the official channels (no contact is set up yet, to be added).
Privacy
Check-in records stay only in your own browser. The site uses Google Analytics 4 for anonymous visit statistics, only to see which pages are read. There are no accounts and no login, and the self-check page still does not save your answers.
