Books and Official Links
Official manuals, talks, videos and podcasts are copyrighted. This site lists titles and links to official sources only; it does not reproduce them or host PDFs.
The book this site follows
- Luangpor Thong (Q&A), compiled by the Taiwan Mahasati association, 正念動中禪的原理與方法 (The Principles and Method of Mahasati; English title is my translation), Religious Culture Press, first edition July 2013, third in the Mahasati series. The association's site also carries a PDF (copyright belongs to the publisher and association; check what use is allowed).
Other books
- A Manual of Self-Awareness (mahasati.org). The Chinese edition is 自覺手冊 from the Luangpor Teean Foundation, with known editions from Taiwan Vipassana Education Foundation (2000, 2nd ed., ISBN 9579828547), Religious Culture Press (2013, ISBN 9787567513631) and the Taiwan association (2009 PDF, marked all rights reserved, do not reprint).
- Other titles from the Taiwan association (in Chinese) are listed on its publishing page.
- English talks such as To One That Feels (buddhadust.net).
Optional further reading
The book says practice does not depend on reading scripture (pp. 5, 7), so reading is not a requirement. If you want to read, Yihuan Xingzhe has listed books for beginners, intermediate and post-insight stages in a talk; this site does not have that list yet, to be added.
Videos and podcasts
- Taiwan association teaching videos: mahasati.com.tw/video.
- Luangpor Thong Q&A podcast: the association says it has been on Apple Podcasts and Spotify since 2021; start from the association site.
